Welcome back to Term 4

Hello Room 15 and welcome back to Term 4! 

We have two new students in Room 15, Talia and Katana. We welcome them and are so excited to have you in our classroom at Clevedon School. 

Last term on the last day of school we all took part in our annual Agricultural Day. In Room 15 we raised and looked after, Lambs, Calfs, Chickens, Pets and Plants. Here are some photos of us.

Our new Inquiry topic:
Food production impacts humans and the environment

Key Questions:

  • What are the stages of food production from field to table? (function)
  • What impact do humans and the environment have on food production? (causation)
  • How do our food purchasing choices affect people and the environment? (connection/responsibility)

On Friday the 31st of July our school had a gold coin fundraiser to collect some money for our Agricultural Day. Here are some photos of us dressed up as animals, we had such a fun day!!

WELCOME BACK TO TERM 3

Welcome back Room 15 to.......Term 3! This term we have lots of new and exciting concepts to learn!

Our new Inquiry topic is: 'Events in the natural world impact on humans'.

Questions that we will looking at for this topic are:


  • What causes different natural events? (causation)
  • In what ways do natural events impact on humans? (causation)
  • How do people learn and recover from natural events? (reflection)

Welcome back to Term 2 2015

Welcome back to Term 2

This Term we have so many exciting things to look forward too! This week we are visiting the Life Education Van and in a couple of weeks we will be going to a show called 'Dancing with Mythology'.

Last week we talked a lot about ANZAC and what it means to us. We decided to make a poppy wreath to show our respects and remember the loved ones who were lost in the war. Also two students from each classroom at Clevedon School carried a white cross in our ANZAC day parade near the memorial in Clevedon Village on Saturday the 25th April. Here are some photos below.











Below are some photographs of our 'Save the Planet' posters. These posters will be on display in the hall soon under the Pohutukawa team area. Some of them show our learning on the unit and some also show our action plans to help look after the environment.
